Bonsai. My profile picture Kuromatsu (black pine tree) died soon after I bought it because I didn't know how to take care of it. I went to a Bonsai museum the other day and learnt about Bonsai. How to appreciate Bonsai: Stand in front of a Bonsai. Squat down and look it up from the lower position. If you feel or see it as a huge tree then it is a very good Bonsai. How to decide a ranking: The shape of the tree. The age. The older the better. The history of owners. The definition of Bonsai: Describing a scenery in a small pot. Bonsai is a small cosmos in a pot. cosmos; space; universe You can imagine as if you are seeing an actual scenery. I've learned about Bonsai but I don't know how to take care of it yet, so I think I should take a Bonsai lesson someday.

Alan, Thanks! I like this photo, too.

@kuromatsu, that is how I would write it, with a capital t for "the," of course, if/since it is the first word in the sentence. Nice-looking photo, by the way.

Alan, thank you for your suggestion. Yes, you are right. pictures can not die. Should I rewrite it like this? " the tree in my profile picture died"

Joel, thank you for your comment. I'm a beginner of Bonsai. I saw many old Bonsais. Some of them were more than 300 years old.
