*wanting what someone else has. This is a funny scene in the show because Homer is normally thought of as stupid, but most native speakers wouldn't be able to tell you the difference between envy and jealousy, and most people misuse jealousy when they should use envy.

I'm not jealous. I'm envious. Jealousy is when you worry someone will take what you have. Envy is worrying what someone else has. What I feel is envy. : )
