CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG ANYWHERE hey all, a day before yesterday someone advised me to go on italk where you will have language partner who is native speaker and will help you out in improving english but as i logged in I found that people here are not willing to learn they are more interested in irrelevant things the reason I am saying this I sended some native speakers friend request but neither they accepted my request nor they replied to my request. I told them I am native hindi speaker and I am here to speak and learn english as I was honest . I also said if you are good in english and Do you have will to help then please be my language partner.My journey of finding good language partner is still going on if you have the calibre to speak and teach english then please message me. this request is open to all teachers and english speaker. CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG ANYWHERE

Hi Dhruv,

It's sad you've had this experience, but in general I think most people on italki prefer to interact with you in discussions and get to know you a little before they commit to being language partners. It would be very rare for a teacher or tutor to accept a language partner because teachers and tutors earn their income from paid classes.

Hey all, a the day before yesterday someone advised me to go on italki where "you will have find a language partner who is a native speaker and will help you out in to improve your English", [in "" because you are relating a conversation] but as I logged in I found that people here are not willing to learn, they are more interested in irrelevant things. The reason I am saying this I sent some native speakers a friend request but neither they neither accepted my request nor they replied to my request.

I told them I am a native Hindi speaker and I am here to speak and learn English. as I was being hones. I also said if you are good in at English and Do you have the will to help, then please be my language partner. My journey of in finding a good language partner is still going on. If you have the calibre to speak and teach English then please message me.

How is being honest a crime. Take some time to chill, sit back and think of what you type. Let's analyze what you write here. "I sended some native speakers friend request but neither they accepted my request nor they replied to my request." So my question to you is "Why does any native speaker have the obligation to accept your friend request just because you say you are interested in learning English. They do not have the obligation. As about answering to you, it only common courtesy that they do. Would it be best if they reply (negatively or positively) ?. Yes. Is it the worst crime of the century and means that "Honesty is a crime" if the do not reply ?. No. Besides they might be getting dozens of these so they might finding it disheartening to have to negatively reply to all of them. So mt advice is to relax, keep on trying to find language exchange partners an most of all do not be haste to arrive to conclusions about honesty. That's all and good luck.
