Beginner learners only need to learn the denotations of words + or -? I can't agree complitely with this statement. Personaly I believe that a learner should pay attention also on the usage of the word. For this reason it is better for beginners to remember not just one new single word but the whole phrase or a collocation. Thus he can understand where and how to put the word in the context. How do you think?

I can't agree completely with this statement.
Personally, I believe that a learner should also pay attention also to the usage of the word. For this reason, it is better for beginners to remember not just a single word, but a whole phrase or a collocation. Thus, he can understand where and how to use the word in the a context.
