Hooliganism Dear Editor, I am a currently fan that assist every week to soccer stadiums in Mexico to cheer up my team, Atlas. Recently I read your article about hooliganism in stadiums and I am concerned with the increasing violence that attack us every week or almost every. I believe the issue that happened over there is being more common and due to this violence more and more families that enjoyed visit and cheer up their teams do not go anymore to the stadiums and just unpleasant people visit it. In Mexico the worst hooligans that we have they are in Guadalajara, specific the Atlas’ hooligans that they get mad when his team are losing in classic games, such as Atlas vs Chivas, Atlas vs Leones negros, Atlas. Moreover, we have others, Tigres’ hooligans that called themselves “Libres y Lokos”. Libres y locos always tries to help to their team in any possible way including if they have to fight with other to get respect. These hooligans that I mentioned are always in the games of their team but in some occasions they provoke disturbs inside of the place setting fire with flares or something dangerous for others or even outside always in fights or destroying property. In my opinion are not enough police to keeping our security and prevent disturbs but on the other hand the security persons who are responsible to check out people that inside are not effective and their methods are outdated. My belief is that if the stadium’s owners invert money to prevent this kind of vandalism in security like cams, more police officers, do not sell bear inside of the place or just do not sell anymore drunks persons and do not just concerned about how make money with their hooligans and do not think in consequences could be worst in a future.
