In Sydney I have lived in Sydney for 8 days. It is too difficult to understand what people say. What should I do? Actually I try to speak and explain English, but I just feel there is no improvement in my English skills. When I talked with someone, I only used expressions which I already know. I think I need some new expressions.... Anyway, I really wish my English skills improved..

Shadowing is basically just copying people in how they talk and behave. When you do this, your language skills eventually become more natural.

It seems you are pretty good at English already. One thing to do on your own is to watch the local tv programs and shadowing. Then you can slowly start getting used to their way of speaking and practice your own speaking at the same time. For a second thing how about doing a language exchange with an Australian on italki or in real life? I think you would very quickly get used to what people are saying that way. Good luck with it. :)
