Yesterday's Activities Yesterday, I was able to talk to a person from Guatemala for three hours! Most of the time I was helping him with his English skills, and we both found multiple instances where we had hard times explaining certain aspects of our language. (How do you pronounce "asked"??) I pronounce it as "askt" with a "t" like tick at the end instead of a regulare -ed ending. We both found that difficult to understand. I found that from my classes in Spanish I did learn something! I learned how to write what I want to say, and then I can read it and say it. Although my poor pronunciation mixed with lack of vocabulary was a challenge. A good tool I found was to have him say a few sentences, and I would write down what he said, and then read it back to him. Looking forward to making progress in Spanish!
