Languages I often wonder what the world would be like if we all spoke the same language. Everything would be easier, probably, I think; but perhaps it'd all be boring. I also wonder how did we get this far? What I mean by that is, how can there be almost 7000 languages around the world? Where are all of them spoken? I seriously would like to get to know them all, but that seems really really hard. Google itself doesn't even know 100! It's a total mystery for me... I love languages. The subtle and notorious differences between them fascinate me. All the culture they can transmit to whomever be learning them, all the history they bring along throughout time is just... incredible! If we as species are to perish sometime soon, I sure hope our ways of communication, our languages, stay here on Earth so that the next generations can learn something about them, about us!
