첫 학기라서 우리 부모님께 자주 연락을 하지 못했어요. (or you can say 연락을 못드렸어요.)

2. Yesterday I caught a cold, so I couldn't go to school.
어제 감기에 걸려서 학교에 가지 못했어요.

3. 다른 약속이 있어서 지난 금요일에 파티에 가지 못했어요

4. Since I didn't know the name of the book, I couldn't find it at the bookstore.
책 이름을 몰라서 서점에서 책을 찿치(찾지) 못했어요
