2 Work Diary 31th July This email is planed to sent to my boss and our Marketing head. Please help me to correct, thanks a lot. As you know that one of our main competitors ABC announced they merged with CDE Company which has been our market data survey vendor for years in July. Regional also had signed a cooperation framework agreement with CDE earlier this year. After the announcement is issued, we both think it seems a little inappropriate to continue to submit data as we usually do each year.So we consult regional colleagues and he replied he had checked with F(our global head) several days later, and F thought that it should be okay for us to submit our data to CDE this year as the acquisition just happened and they should maintain full independence in 2015. However, F also told us if our management team does not feel comfortable with the data submission, they will also be fine and what we only need to do is just keep them informed about our final decision. Then we told CDE frankly that we need our management team’s approval before we submit at current situation. We had several frank discussions with CDE’s consultant about this year’s data security at the current situation this Monday. We required they must take on stronger commitments to keep our market data strictly confidential from then on before our decision is made. Now CDE has provided attached additional agreement including specific security measures after their huge business changes with our competitor in July.
