My son is half Caucasian and half Asian.

Ever since he was born, I used to speak Korean to him more than English.

My husband can't speak Korean, so he only knows a few Korean words.

So, I should have spoken English when my husband was at home or when his family visited our house. 

As a common symptom of a bilingual kid, his speaking was slow. He barely used Korean and English vocabulary.

I brought him to a speech therapist and she recommended me to stop speaking Korean to him for a while until his speech got better. Since then, we only spoke in English. However, his speech was not as good as kids the same age as him.
When he was 5, he started doing Taekwondo and it was located near my house. We went there every day except for Sunday.

There were many Korean kids learning Taekwondo. Some kids can speak Korean, while some cannot.
He was around Korean people more, so he started speaking Korean more than before.

One thing I regretted is I'd better not stop speaking Korean against the speech Therapist's advice.

If you regret taking the therapist's advice: One thing I regret is taking the speech therapist's advice and speaking English instead of Korean to my son. 

If you regret NOT taking the therapist's advice: One thing I regret is not taking the speech therapist's advice and continuing to speak Korean to my son.

Please correct these sentences to make them sound more natural or with more upper level vocabulary.
