Different haircut in America and China Yesterday I had a haircut in salon, that was very interesting experience because this process has slight different from in China. I would like to write it down. In China, stylist always very busy, they just need to design and cut your hair and never not to do other things for you. Something like hair-washing, put color onto hair or perm hair always done by assistant. So you seldom see your stylist but actually they handle your hairstyle in backstage. In America, however, the stylist will offer a complete service, you can communicate with them very convenient. Another difference is the hair-washing's process is very complex in Chinese salon, they have a full-time hair-washing worker those will wash your hair, give it care and massage your head, it takes time. In America, nevertheless, I found the hair-washing completed by stylist in 5 minutes. Different salon's service has difference, but the most important thing is they both can given me a prefect hair style, that is enough, isn't it?

That is a good question, you are good at thinking. In my experience, I think there were 3 different prices represents 3 different materials on your hair. The highest price should be offer you best material. (Actually, I think the difference is not that big between 3 materials.)

I always found it weird in China that they would show me a menu with different prices, and I could never understand why there were 3 different prices for the same thing. Then my friend (who speaks Chinese) would negotiate a special price for me and I had no idea what was happening. Why did they have different prices on the menu? I never got offered a menu in other countries. They just tell me the price and if I accept it I got a colour and hair cut.
