I've been studying English for a long time. Whereas As I'm very shy I have always studied with from books, because the thought of talking with an unknown person scared me. Actually I have the possibility to practice of practicing with a relative, but I didn't want to be judged for my pronunciation.
Suddenly I said to myself: "Do not be a coward!". I understood that it's normal to make mistakes while learning something.
The first time that I had a real conversation in English was not so terrifying! At the beginning it was very strange, but after some several minutes I saw found that it was quite easy. Yes, I did made mistakes, but I felt good in at the same time, because I was doing what I most like most and with a person who helped me.
Very good, Gaia :) It was a pleasure to talk to you!
The first time I spoke English
I've been studying English for a long time. Whereas (Due to the fact that) I'm very shy I have always studied with books, because the thought of talking with an unknown person scared me. Actually I have the possibility to practice with a relative, but I didn't want to be judged for on my pronunciation.
Suddenly I said to myself: "Do not be a coward!". I understood (Try using the present tense: I understand) that it's normal to make mistakes while learning something.
The first time that I had a real conversation in English was not so terrifying! At the beginning it was very strange, but after some minutes I saw that it was quite easy. Yes, I did make mistakes, but I felt good in at the same time, because I was doing what I most like liked most and with a person who helped me was willing to help me.
I made some corrections like changing "Whereas" and "for" because it sound a little awkward. But you did a great job on this piece. Very good!
