A thank you email to an organization who assisted me at work Hi German speakers, As titled, I tried to write a letter in German to thank a person in charge of a German organization who had helped me a lot in filming a documentary. We had a few chats over the phone and via emails and built a friendly work relationship in the meanwhile. I personally didn't have the chance to meet him in person but my colleagues did. Colleagues said they were well received by the person (Mr. Lange) and had dinner together after work. Now I want to write this letter to express my greatest gratitude but I am not sure about the tone. I want to be polite but not too formal, is "Sie" suitable in this context? Hi German speakers,
As titled, I tried to write a letter in German to thank a person in charge of a German organization who had helped me a lot in filming a documentary. We had a few chats over the phone and via emails and built a friendly work relationship in the meanwhile. I personally didn't have the chance to meet him in person but my colleagues did. Colleagues said they were well received by the person (Mr. Lange) and had dinner together after work. Now I want to write this letter to express my greatest gratitude but I am not sure about the tone. I want to be polite but not too formal, is "Sie" suitable in this context?
