Remember in Spnaish we can just say ¿Cómo estás ?As the suject can be omitted:) Hope you enjoy your Spanish journey Krystal

Hola Kettal?  ¿Qué tal? Como estas tu? (I don't think you need to say ¿Cómo estás? since you already said ¿Qué tal? and I am pretty sure that they mean the same if not similar thing.) Hoy es lunes. 

I am not a native so I am sorry if I have made any mistakes in correcting.

Hola, ¿qué tal? ¿Cómo estás tu? Hoy es Lunes.

¿Qué tal? = ¿Cómo estás? So I wouldn't say "¿Cómo estás?" after ¿Qué taal?. Anyway, it is not strictly wrong, sometimes, when I meet someone, I say both phrases, but you must know what you are saying is: "how are you? how are you?"
