Latin What do you think about the ancient languages? Personally, I study Latin and ancient Greek at university and before in the high school and I am very proud to study these languages, because it was very difficult learning them. I think that Greek is more sound compared to Latin, but i prefer Latin. The ancient Rome and his culture is fascinating, mysterious and very practical. I love the ancient latin writers like Seneca, Cicerone and Catullo. And You? Do You like it? Do you study this subjects in your country?

[Good work. Very few people in the U.S. study Latin or Greek anymore in the U.S. If I wanted to learn two Romance languages, French, Spanish, Portuguese or Italian, for example, it might be worthwhile to study Latin because it is the root language for all of the above.]

I studied Latin for one year in high school and I'm glad I did, even though I preferred the science subjects. It has helped me to understand many English and French words, and also helps me to guess at the meaning of some Italian or Spanish words.
