Today Dieries

Hi
Today there was a problem at my workplace. One of the computers was crashed. As matter of fact the crash was caused by a virus. The viruses did not allow to run the antivirus to run. I don t know how I can resolve it.

[Good work. As a sofware engineer myself, you will probably have to erase the hard drive and re-image the computer completely. It's a huge bother, but that may be the only solution.]

If someone in your office knows how to use Linux, you can boot with a Linux LiveCD and run anti-virus that way. The virus needs Windows system files to operate, so Linux will allow you to remove them safely.

You could try to use Safe Mode (if you have Windows). Sometimes viruses are unable to operate at that mode, so you will be able to use antivirus software.
