practicing Hanzi Hi, I'm currently studying Chinese Characters and I found it extremely difficult. Here is a text i just wrote to practice.. is correct? I still have problems with the proportions but I was just wondering if its at least legible. In case it's not, I wrote the whole text in pinyin on the right side.

1. 这是谁 zhe shi shei

    这是谁 zhe shi shu

In north of China, some people might go with "shei", but "shui" is the the rigth one, one and the only.

2. about the character "这", you did well with the part "文", but as for "辶“, it will be a lot better if the third storke linked-up with the second one.

practicing Hanzi

Hi,

I'm currently studying Chinese Characters and I found it extremely difficult.

Here is a text i just wrote to practice.. is correct? I still have problems with the proportions but I was just wondering if its at least legible. In case it's not, I wrote the whole text in pinyin on the right side.

It is very recognizable but of a child's writing.  This is to be expected since you are now starting in baby steps with this language.  If you want to write better, especially with the proportions, here's a link in brush writing.  Of course, you don't have to use the brush.  Although the program is entirely in Mandarin, just skip to the 2nd part of the program where Professor Tian teaches you how to write in the regular script.  From the video, you will be able to deduce his explanation on how the proportions and the correct stroke order are dealt with.  Enjoy...
