Anoche, mí perro Eddie vino conmigo al parque Cottonwood. Hubo una excursión/paseo al puente para ver los murciélagos que viven debajo.
Last night, my dog Eddie went with me to Cottonwood park. There was a tour/walk to the bridge to see the bats that live underneath.
Hubo personas del servicio de parques y una mujer del servicio de vida salvaje de Nevada. Hablaron de la importancia de los murciélagos para el ecosistema y sus costumbres de cría y migración.
There were people from the park service and a woman from the Nevada Wildlife Service. They talked about the importance of the bats to the ecosystem and their breeding and migration habits.
En el puente, al atardecer, los murciélagos volaron desde debajo del puente y por encima del río mientras comían insectos, cientos o miles, en espirales.
At the bridge at dusk, the bats flew from under the bridge and up the river while eating insects, hundreds or thousands in waves.
Fue algo muy hermoso de presenciar.
It was a beautiful thing to witness.
