Hot springs

It was chilly today.

On cold day, I want to go to hot springs. There are a lot of hot spring resorts in Japan.
 My favorite is Hida-Takayama region. It's a historical townscape in Gifu prefecture. There are many hot springs, great foods and a heritage site. They also have local sake! ( alcohol ) I had a great time there a few years ago. I'm dying to go there again!

* If the name of the hot spring resort is "Hida-Takayama region", then what you wrote is correct. A region is a general area, so if the spring is somewhere in the area or the region, and the region is named "Hida-Takayama" then you would add "in the" as I did.
