SOCIAL NETWORKINGS

Do you remember what our life was like without social networking? Can you remember? For example, we used to call our friends or family who lived far away in other cities to find out how they were. We did not take a lot of photos when we went outdoors because it used to be expensive to have photos developed. Nowadays, social networks are changing our life style.

What is your favorite social networking site? There are many websites where we can show our photos, videos and even our feelings such as facebook, twitter, instagram… Also, there are sites where you can post your professional photos like Flickr or meet people like Badoo. The opportunities are infinite! But, is all this good for our life?

In my opinion, not only do social networks have advantages, but they also have a few disadvantages. On the one hand, through them we can know about our family and friends that we have not seen for a long time; we can meet people to do things and also, we can keep memories like photos or videos. But on the other hand, if we are not careful about the things we post, our privacy may be endangered. Also, if we spend a lot time in front of the computer or with our smartphone, we can waste a lot of free time.

Let me conclude by saying that despite the disadvantages, if we know how to use social networking well, it can be a wonderful invention to help us communicate with each other.

I am old enough to remember life before social networking and even the internet. When I was a young person we used to spend more time outside with our friends, playing games and exercising generally. I personally think we were healthier than the average young person these days. On the other hand, it is now much easier to reach people all round the world and make new friends from different places that we probably would not have done when I was younger.
