A skeleton in the cupboard

After I had found a real skeleton in the cupboard of the guest room, GC refused to remove it. He persuaded me that keeping it could embolden me. I reluctantly accepted it. No sooner it was time to sleep than I started feeling very uncomfortable. To a considerable degree, out of sight, out of mind, so I decided to take the skeleton out of the room, rather than sleep together. I held it with my trembling body and walked around the house, looking for somewhere to put it.
The house was crowded with GC’s stuff, things he liked: detective drafts, horrifying decorations, etc.
At that moment, when I tried to explain, his new maid had already hitten the swaying skeleton: "It’s only me", but it was too late to say it. She screamed out and jumped back several paces. Fortunately, GC appeared in time. He cleared the air and calmed her down.

What a puzzling and funny story! It made me laugh. By the way, it's not a human skeleton, is it? :)

A skeleton in the cupboard

After I had found a really skeleton in the cupboard of guest room. I discovered a real human skeleton in the wardrobe (1) of my guestroom. GC refused to remove it. He persuaded me that sharing a room with it could embolden me If It accompanied with the me. would develop my courage. I reluctantly accepted his suggestion it. It was time to sleep, but no sooner had I lay my head on my pillow than did I feeling I began to feel very uncomfortable. To a considerable degree, I thought to myself "out of sight, out of mind", so I decided to take the skeleton out of the room rather than endure a sleepness night slept together. I held it up with my trembling body, it's arms hanging around my neck, and walked stumbled my way around the house, for looked looking for somewhere to put it.

The house were crowed was cluttered (2) with GC’s belongings liked, stuff like detective novels drafts, horrified terrifying/horrifying (3) decorations and etc. Just at this moment, his new maid just hit bumped into the swaying skeleton. when I tried to explain: "It’s only me", but it was already too late to say it. She let out a loud screamed out and jumped back several paces. Fortunately, GC appeared just in time. He cleared the air explained the situation (4) and calmed her down.

1) a wardrobe is wear we keep clothes, a cupboard is for other things (I assume it's a wardrobe as it's in the bedroom and is big enough to contain a skeleton.

2) crowded and cluttered have similar meanings, but we use crowded more with people and cluttered more with objects.

3) horrifying is an adj which means very scary. You use to describe something which makes you feel scared. For example: "It was a horrifying scene"

horrified is a feeling which means very scared. For example "I was absolutely horrified" (actually I often hear people say this when they want to describe feeling really embarrassed about something. Terrified means scared only and cannot be used when you've done something silly and feel embarrassed about it)

4) We normally use "clear the air" to describe clearing up some kind of problem or misunderstanding between people that has been festering for a relatively long period of time, so it doesn't seem appropriate to use it in this situation.

It's good! The rest of my corrections are rather minor and serve to make it sound more natural and flowing.

Yes, Adrian! GC used to be a doctor. He is a detective writer now. Have you noticed an interesting phenomenon—Some doctor turned to be an writer who always became fame. Like Conan Doyle.
