Some Differences Between Brazilians and Americans Yesterday I was reading about some differences and costums between Brazilians and Americans and it was interesting because we can understand how different we are even we all are human beings. And of course it depends on where we grew up and live and certainly about the country culture. I´ve heard that Americans can turn right in a traffic light even if is red. It´s totally wrong here in Brazil. When the traffic lights are red everybody has to stop and wait until it turn green. We have gas station attendant in all gas stations here it´s totally common. I´ve heard that in the USA in many gas stations you have to supply your car for your own. It´s very weird for us here. Phisical contact is very commom in Brazil. We usually give hugs when we meet friends walking on street and it´s totally normal for us because we like to be closer to the people. In the USA people simply shake hands and it´s okay. Unfortunately many people here in Brazil are not puntual and they think it´s normal (not for me). But in the USA I´ve heard that people like to be always on time. In the USA it´s commom to have hosts/hostess in a restaurant so you have to wait until this person redirect you to a seat. Here in Brazil you can enter in the restaurant and choose your place to seat for your own (we have hosts only in expensive restaurants). Of course we have a lot of others differences between Brazil and USA but I can´t write all here. That´s all for now.

Some Differences Between Brazilians and Americans

Yesterday I was reading about some differences and customs between Brazilians and Americans and it was interesting because we can understand how different we are even when we all are human beings. And of course it depends on where we grew up and live and certainly about the country's culture.

I've heard that Americans can turn right at a traffic light even if is red. It's totally wrong here in Brazil. When the traffic lights are red everybody has to stop and wait until it turns green.

We have gas station attendants at all gas stations here it´s totally common. I've heard that in the USA at many gas stations you have to fill your car on your own. It's pretty weird for us here.

Physical contact is very commom in Brazil. We usually give hugs when we meet friends walking on street and it´s totally normal for us because we like to be closer to the people. In the USA people simply shake hands and it´s okay.

Unfortunately many people here in Brazil are not punctual and they think it´s normal (not for me). But in the USA I´ve heard that people always like to be always on time.

Of course we have a lot of others differences between Brazil and USA but I can´t write them all here.

That´s all for now.

Some Differences Between Brazilians and Americans

Yesterday I was reading about some differences and customs between Brazilians and Americans and it was interesting because we can understand how different we are even though we all are human beings. And of course it depends on where we grew up and live and certainly about the countries culture.

I´ve heard that Americans can turn right in at a traffic light even if it is red. It´s totally wrong here in Brazil. When the traffic lights are red everybody has to stop and wait until it turns green.

We have a gas station attendant in all gas stations here, it´s totally common. I´ve heard that in the USA, in many gas stations you have to supply fill up your car by yourself for your own. It´s pretty very weird for us here.

Physical contact is very commom in Brazil. We usually give hugs when we meet friends walking on down the street and it´s totally normal for us because we like to be closer to the people. In the USA people simply shake hands and it´s okay.

Unfortunately many people here in Brazil are not punctual and they think it´s normal (not for me). But in the USA I´ve heard that people like to always be on time.
