Article (FCE practise) I'D LIKE TO... How many times we have dreamt about a genius, a shooting star or a birthday'scake candle that could really grant our wishes? Wanting those things we miss is a normal behaviour, as well as dreaming awake. In fact, imagine isn't only a children's thing! I've always asked the same thing since I was a little girl who wouldn't lengthen a handspan from the ground. I wanted a hot-air balloon and I wanted it so hard. It could sound weird but it has its logic. There was a cartoon series based on Julio Verne's "Around the world in 80 days" and as soon as I saw the big, bright ball flying through the skies I knew: I'd have to get one. My parents went crazy about the idea, I don't shame on them because it was little crazy but I told them i wanted to traves around the world with my coloured balloon and visit unkown cultures and places. There wasn't any other aim on my life in spite of that. At last, I got one wonderful and full of colours, and big hot-air balloon but when I tried it out I wasn't able to rise more than a few metres. Sadly, now I have my desired balloon my wish has changed to ask a genius, or a shooting star, or even my birthday's cake candle not to have heights fear. The key message of this is to be sure you'll be able to enjoy your wish in case it'd get granted.
