The blackness In my process of learning english I practiced almost every day my listening and speaking skills. But when it comes to practice my writing skills I have a problem... I don´t know what to talk about. It is funny because I know I have to practice but when I am in front of the laptop my mind goes blank and I cannot write about anything. It feels funny and bad at the same time because I want to practice but I don´t know what topic to write about. So today my goal was write about something but I found anything, but I did not give up and then I think "let´s talk about this situation of getting blank" and here I am. Maybe you find this topic funny but this story let me to write and practice my english. I would like to know if this is a common problem (I think It is) and I will glad if you could give me advices to fight againts "the blackness".

I think isn't necessary to write topic about political, war or immigration. In my opinion we can write whatever we want, we need to learn and improve English. People could find me a superficial person but I like to write about my dog, my daily life or about my favourite movie. Is a different way to learn English (and Spanish for me,I often write about my progress in Spanish and no-progress in English :-( ). Next time you want to write something but you don't know what, look around you and start writing about you are seeing. I'm very sorry for my English. (Mi nivel de español es mucho mejor)

Yes, I think most students share this problem. We know that writing is an important tool for learning, but we struggle to come up with a suitable topic. I guess the best solution is to simply START writing and not worry about the topic, but I think that's easier said than done. Sí, creo que la mayoría de nosotros compartimos este problema. Somos concientes que escritir es una herremienta importante, pero es difícil de encontrar una tema adecuada. Supongo que lo mejor es EMPEZAR escritando y no se preocupe la tema, sin embargo, creo que del dicho al hecho hay mucho estrecho
