Kuwentong Aesop = An Aesop Story

Mayroong mga kuwentong engkanto tungkol sa mga insekto = There are fairy tales about insects (I am not sure if “kuwentong engkanto” is really the Tagalog of “fairy tale” because I have never heard of that phrase before. We always say it as “fairy tale” too.)

Ang isang halimbawa nito ay ang pabula ni Aesop tungkol sa langgam at tipaklong = An example of this is Aesop's fable about the ant and the grasshopper. (What Aesop wrote are called fables, not fairy tales).

Ang tipaklong ay kumakanta at pinagtatawanan ang langgam habang tag-araw/mainit ang tag-araw. = The grasshopper was singing and laughing at the ant during summer/while summer was hot.

Subalit nagpapawis habang nagtatrabaho ang langgam = But the ant was sweating while working.

OR better yet:

Sa init ng tag-araw, ang tipaklong ay kumakanta at pinagtatawanan ang langgam habang ito ay nagtatrabaho at pinagpapawisan. = In the heat of summer, the grasshopper was singing and laughing at the ant while it/this was working and sweating.

Sa huli, humingi ng pagkain ang tipaklong sa langgam habang parating ang taglagas. = In the end, the grasshopper asked the ant for food as autumn was about to arrive.
