Mahirap = Difficult

Ang Pilipino ko hindi marami mas mabuti = My Pilipino not many better

Ang alam ko sa Pilipino ay hindi marami. = What is know in Pilipino is not much.

Ang Pilipino ko ay mas magaling na ngayon = My Pilipino is better now.

(“Magaling” is “good” and applies more for talents or abilities. - Si John ay magaling kumanta. = John sings well (a good singer). “Mabuti” is also “good”, but more in the sense of it being beneficial or as a character trait. - Mabuti ito para sa iyo = This is good for you. Si Mary ay mabuting tao = Mary is a good person.)

“My Filipino isn't much better” would not be easy to translate without any indication of what you are supposed to be comparing it with as better than.

Ang Pilipino ko ay walang pinag-iba sa dati. = My Filipino is no different from/isn't much better than how it was before.

Ang Pilipino ko ay hindi mas magaling sa Pilipino ng kaibigan ko. = My Filipino isn't much better than the Filipino of my friend.

Pero kailangan ko lang magsanay. = But I just need to practice.

Wala akong maraming oras para matuto ng mga salita = I don't have much time to learn words

Pero gusto kong gamitin ang alam ko. = But I'd like to use/apply what I know.

Pero gusto kong gamitin ang meron ako. = But I'd like to use/apply what I possess. (“Meron/Mayroon” is “have”, but more in the sense of ownership or the existence of something. - Meron akong bahay = I have a house. Meron siyang sakit = He/She is sick.)

Mahirap...

Hindi ganoon kabuti ang aking Filipino, pero kailangan ko lang magsanay. Wala akong sapat na oras para matuto ng mga salita, pero gusto kong gamitin ang alam ko.
