Joce
Deutsch Hi! My name is Joce I have a question about German grammar Can someone tell me, When do I have to use the verb in second position and when to use the verb at the end of the sentence? Also can someone tell me How and When to use the separable verbs like Einschlafen, auspacken...and so on? Thanks!

*and if something depends on the main event it is then at the end of the sentence*

einschlafen = to fall asleep schlafen = to sleep Ich konnte nicht einschlafen = I couldn't fall asleep Ich schlafe jeden tag um 22 Uhr = I sleep everyday at 22 o'clock It is complicated to explain when the verb is where but i give you a quick tip, it is as follows, "The main event has the verb at second place" "and if something depends on the main event". for example ///// Ich koche gerade ein Gericht, welches ich im Fernsehen gesehen habe. = I currently cook a dish, which I saw in the television. I hope that helps you, otherwise feel free to ask me, I'll gladly help you :)
