The college years are the best years in a personss life (my first Toefl writing practise) The statement asks if the college years are the best time in a persons life, well i dont think it is. i am sure that all people who went to college had realy great time out there. But we can not say all had the best time. For instance me, i graduated from Gazi University at Ankara as a chemical engineer last year. But that school was not my first choice, i used to dreaming about living in Eskisehir. When i found out that i couldnt get enough points for Eskisehir, i was devastated. But i didint have enough courage to attent the exam one more time, the only choise in front of me was the Ankara and i took it. In first 2 years i did not attend classes, i did not meet with anyone, never been in any social activity. I was visiting my family once a week. In other days, i was just sleeping in my apartment. It took me so long to accept my situation. Is that means i never enjoyed a thing at college ? Of course not, i had so many great friends later , we became like family also meet my current girlfriend in there. But also i could never forget the first two year. Sınce i didnt attent my classes, my grades gone awful. I needed to work much harder then anybody in my classes to fix those grades. After my third year, i became so obsessed about studying hard that, i realised that i forget what social life is like. But anyway with hardwork and passionate i graduated my college. But i have never forget that bad memories. In conclusion education tooks the biggest part of our lives without doubt. Of course beside lessons, we do learn friendship, love, respect, success etc. but it also teach people, life is not going on like in the fairy tales. There would always be barriers .I meet my biggest barriers in my college years, so i dont think the college years are the best years for everone.

Great work Sinan,

I understood your writing very clearly and was never unsure about your intended meaning. The only place you seem to make errors are with minor spelling mistakes and occasionally with tense. For instance "Meet" is future tense, "Met" is past tense, and "Meeting" is present tense - however there are no easy rules for these intricacies; just a matter of practice.

I wish my Turkish were anywhere near as good as your English!
