So the question is: What are the consequences of the Macron Law on French society? To begin with, I will explain: what proposals does the Macron law consist in of? Then I will put forward the positive effects and negative effects of this law.

I. So, what does the bill consist of in

As its name suggests, the French Minister for the Economy, Emmanuel Macron, has proposed the Macron law. This article deals with one of the most controversial measures of this law, which is working on Sunday. This reform has 3 mains goals: expansion, activity (Qu'est-ce que ça va dire activity?) and equality of economic opportunities. To achieve this, several measures have been set up. First, countries cities and towns will be able to open stores during 12 Sundays a year with the agreement of the mayor. Then, to develop tourism, tourist and commercials zones will be created. (What is the connection between the tourist and commercial zones and the next sentence?) Stores in these zones will be allowed to be open could be opened during 52 Sundays a year and stayed open until midnight. This law also applies to the stores in the 12 most important stations in France. . In the future, the Minister of Economy would like to open more stations on Sunday such as motorway stations or ferry terminals.
So this law, which is pretty revolutionary, has a specific purpose: stimulating French economy.

II. The positive effects and negative effects of this law.

Yet, this law is quite controversial because it presents several drawbacks. Indeed, the employers will be confronted to additional costs because they will be required to pay the transport charges and child care fee of their employees. Moreover, the countries cities and towns are still submitted to certain limitations concerning the opening of the businesses on Sundays. Last but not least, some people think that Sunday should remain a day of rest where when people enjoy some time with family.
However, the law shows a lot of positives effects because according to Laurent Fabius the Minister of Foreign Affairs, this law will allow France to create more jobs and improve French purchasing power while developing tourism. In addition, job creation will allow to the young people to find a job more easily. The working on Sundays offers a double advantage for the employees working in Supermarkets and the ZTI: In addition of to being paid more on Sundays, the childcare expenses on Sundays will be fully paid by the employer. This will reduce the constraints on working on Sundays’ constraints.
