PEPERO?POCKY? I had Chiken Katsu Carry(£5.45) of WASABI for my lunch today. That was really good as usual. And when I was paing for that, I saw this. I was like, It's a Pocky, isn't it?? and then I realized that LOTTE makes it. It says LOTTE on the top of the package. I thought that should be good If they make it. Actually, It was not bad, but Japanese one (Real LOTTE's) is more tasty, I guess. Wasabi is a Korean company, I was a bit surprised that they are collaborating. BTW, Pepero means Pocky in Korean.

PEPERO?POCKY?

I had Chicken Katsu Curry(£5.45) of and WASABI for my lunch today. That It was really good, as usual. And when I was paing for it that, I saw this. I was like, It's a Pocky, isn't it? And then I realized that LOTTE makes it. It says LOTTE on the top of the package.

Wasabi is a Korean company, I was a bit surprised that they are collaborating (with LOTTE to make pocky sticks).
BTW, Pepero means Pocky in Korean.

Oh, Yeah, You're right. Because There's no Wasabi in Japan and Also, Some of my friends who live in London told me that it is Korean, So I've been thinking it is Korean without even check. Good to know! thanks.

Your essay is interesting, but I want to comment two things. First, why do you think WASABI is a Korean company? The word 'WASABI' is a Japanese word. I think it is an English company(Refer the following site; "https://www.wasabi.uk.com"). Second, LOTTE was founded by a "Korean Japanese" who speaks Japanese better than Korean. Later he built Lotte hotel in Seoul. Lotte in Korea is also producing food products. Pepero is a variation of Pocky, to the tastes of Korean(Refer the following site; http://quirkspace.com/jsfr/?p=350). In short, WASABI imported Korean products from Lotte in Korea.
