Buying a car exercise:
■請問，先生，您要買汽車嗎?
□對啊，我的汽車太舊了。我可以看看這三輛汽車嗎?
■當然可以 你可以，你喜歡哪輛車?這輛汽車看起來好看，對不對?
□還好。這輛車賣多少錢?
■這輛車賣兩萬塊錢。
□真的嗎?它太貴了。那 輛 兩車比較便宜嗎?
■那輛車比較便宜。它也比較大但是比較舊。
I haven't finished the exercise but have a couple of questions:
Is there a rule to follow of when to use 輛汽車 and when I can just use 輛車?
比較 is a new word for me, not sure if I am using it correctly.

一輛汽車 means one car, but 一輛車 maybe mean one car, motocycle or bike.

At the first, 輛 is the measure word in Chinese.
You should use Pronouns or Articles to complete a phrase:
那輛汽車、那輛車或者一輛汽車、一輛車，這才是一個完整的詞。
車：All kind of vehicles moving by wheels.
If you keep learning Chinese you will see 腳踏車(bike), 汽車(car), 機車(scooter), 卡車(truck) …etc. soon. And then you will find out these words all with the Chinese character 車 no matter what we change the adjective before it.
So 車 is a easy way what we call these vehicles moved by wheels sometimes.
Is there a rule to follow of when to use 輛汽車 and when I can just use 輛車?
For example:
1.
A：那(That)輛車是誰的(who’s)? A just used shortened form to ask B. Maybe there are bikes, cars, scooters parked.
B：哪一輛車？(Which one? )
A：那輛汽車！A used the adjective to make B know it more clearly.
B：噢！我的。
2.
In your exercise situation, because we all know only one kind of vehicle over there, car, we just use easy way to say it not have to use formal way(汽車) to describe it.
