What's love? Throughout the years, many writers have tried to describe what love is without coming to an agreement. In fact, love is not easy to define, since it's about a complex phenomenon with many interpretations depending on the person. Love does not mean simply that you like someone much more than anyone else, but a different feeling. For example, when you like someone, you respond affirmatively to phrases as "He/she is the kind of person I'd like to be", whereas you love someone, you are more identified with phrases as " If I couldn't see that person anymore, I would feel unhappy". Therefore, when you are in love with someone, you experience a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection to that person. Both men and women react in similar ways when it comes to love. It means that both sexes live love the same way. Passionate love is characterized by the existence of a sexual desire, intense emotions and a big concern by the loved person. It's a kind of love which appears quickly and intensively, although its intensity fades away over time. Many relationships end when this initial passion disappears, whereas in other relationships the passionate love turns into another kind of love where the desire is less intense, but where there are feelings of mutual dependence, trust, and affection. It's a kind of stable and prolonged love which is much deeper as time goes by. Love has three main components: intimacy, passion and commitment. Intimacy is that feeling of connection, union, and emotional closeness with someone. It's what makes you trust fully in that person and what allows you to tell that person anything about you and your life. Passion refers to the sexual desire and the physical attraction they feel for each other. Commitment refers to the desire to love that person through time and to stay close to him/her. This is what pushes people to marry or living together. Thank you!

What's love?

Throughout the years, many writers have tried to describe what love is without coming to an agreement. In fact, love is not easy to define, since it's about a complex phenomenon with many interpretations depending on the person.

Love does not mean simply that you like someone much more than anyone else, but a different feeling. For example, when you like someone, you respond affirmatively to phrases such as "He/she is the kind of person I'd like to be", whereas when you love someone, you are more identified with phrases such as " If I couldn't see that person anymore, I would feel unhappy".

Therefore, when you are in love with someone, you experience a feeling of warm personal attachment to or deep affection for that person. Both men and women react in similar ways when it comes to love. This means that both sexes live love the same way.

Passionate love is characterized by the existence of a sexual desire, intense emotions and a big concern for the loved person. It's a kind of love which appears quickly and intensively, although its intensity fades away over time.

Many relationships end when this initial passion disappears, whereas in other relationships the passionate love turns into another kind of love where the desire is less intense, but where there are feelings of mutual dependence, trust, and affection. It's a kind of stable and prolonged love which becomes much deeper as time goes by.

Love has three main components: intimacy, passion and commitment. Intimacy is that feeling of connection, union, and emotional closeness with someone. It's what makes you trust fully in that person and what allows you to tell that person anything about you and your life.

Passion refers to the sexual desire and the physical attraction people feel for each other. Commitment refers to the desire to love that person through time and to stay close to him/her. This is what pushes people to marry or live together.

Thank you!
