Reading Reading is a fun activity and people should not be prohibited to read anything that they want to read, as long as it does not contain any bad materials. Personally, I would disagree with the statement that asks people to read only certain kind of books. I feel this way for some reasons which I will explore why people should be allowed to read any kind of books. To begin with, every person has their own favourit genre and we can not push them to read something they do not like. Not only will it make them bored but it also makes the readers get nothing because they do not enjoy it. The next reason is that good things do not happen only in non-fictional books. Instead, many good values can also be learnt in fictional books. There are some well-known fictional books that become an inspiration for some people to do great things. Futhermore, they even invent many new theories based on unreal events that they have found in those books. Prohibiting people to read these kind of books will reduce their source of idea. Thus, the world will be suffered by lack of creativity. In conclusion, I do not agree to recommend people to read only non-fictional books because I believe that values contained in fictional books are not less valuable than those in non-fictional books.

Reading

Reading is a fun activity and people should not be prohibited to read anything that they want to read, as long as it does not contain any bad materials (note 1). Personally, I would disagree with the statement that asks people to read only certain kinds of books. I feel this way for some reasons which I will explore why people should be allowed to read any kind of books. I'd like to share some of my own opinions on why people should be allowed to read any book that they want. (note 2)

To begin with (note 3), every person has their own favourit favorite/favourite genre and we can not push them to read something they do not like. Not only will it make them bored but it also makes the readers get nothing because they do not enjoy it.

The next reason is that good things do not happen only in non-fictional books. Instead, many good values can also be learnt in fictional books. There are some well-known fictional books that have become an inspiration for some people to do great things. Futhermore, they even invent many new theories based on unreal events that they have found in those books. Prohibiting people to read these kind of books will reduce their source of ideas. Thus, the world will be suffered by suffer from lack of creativity.

In conclusion, I do not agree to recommend people to read only non-fictional books because I believe that values contained in fictional books are not no less valuable than those in non-fictional books.

Notes

Note 1: Stating "bad" materials is a little bit generic. The grammar is correct, but the meaning is vague.

Note 2: I heavily altered this sentence to guess your meaning, but need you to explain it.

Note 3: "To start with", "First off", "For starters" are better ways to phrase this.
