A few sentences. What are the mistakes? In the book that I’m reading… In the sixteenth century, Paris was a populated city. The development of the city was not organised that makes for instance that people could live on the bridges even if the floods were not rare at this time. The realm of France was not an entity as uniform as now. Indeed, one main feature of the uniformity of a territory is the language, and at this time, in the south of France, the inhabitants spoke what is named “des langues d’oc” in French. Actually, there are a lot of typical languages in many part of the realm but groups of languages can be done. However, the nobles of the realm spoke French in every part of the realm. Furthemore, lot of these nobles spoke the latin.

Here are a few sentences. Where are the mistakes? [I've tried to re-word your sentences in a way that I would say them, rather than just grammatical corrections- I hope this helps]

From the book that I’m reading…

In the sixteenth century, Paris had a large population. The city's development was not organised, meaning, for instance, people were living on bridges despite common flooding during this time.

The realm of France was not the single entity it is now. Indeed, taking language as an example, people in the South of France spoke a dialect known as “des langues d’oc”. As a matter of fact, there were many regional-specific languages and dialects, rather than a universal country-wide language. One exception to this, however, were the nobles, who spoke the same kind of French throughout the kingdom [realm is a slightly fantastical word] (albeit also speaking latin).

A few sentences. What are the mistakes?

In the book that I’m reading…

In the sixteenth century, Paris was a crowded city. The development of the city was not organised and this meant, for instance, that people could live on the bridges even though the floods were not rare at this time.

The realm of France was not an entity as uniform as now. Indeed, one main feature of the uniformity of a territory is the language, and at this time, in the south of France, the inhabitants spoke what is named “des langues d’oc” in French. Actually, there are a lot of special languages in many parts of the country, but groups of languages can be formed. [<em>You mean currently, in the present?</em>]

However, the nobles of the realm spoke French in every part of the realm. Furthemore, a lot of these nobles spoke Latin.

<em>Tres bien.  populated = containing people    crowded = containing a lot or too many people</em>

<em>I was not sure what you meant by "typical", and so "special" may not be correct. </em>

<em>"Realm" is a good word but quite literary.  "Kingdom" is more common, even if the monarch is a queen.  Bonne chance! Michael </em>
