Describe a special occasion in your country.

In Vietnam, there are many festivals in a throughout the year such as Double Five day, Mid-Autumn festival and so on. Among them, Tet is the most important and popular festival which is hold takes place on the first three days of the Lunar New Year.
Preparation for Tet often begins a month before the actual celebration. At that times, everyone is very busy buying to buy some necessary items, for example: food, flowers, new clothes, candy, etc. Almost all people prepare for Tet by cooking traditional food, and by cleaning and decorating the house. As close on the new year approaches, the air as becomes busting and jubilant.  Everyone is eager to welcome the new year.
On The last day of the year, It is called the New Year's Eve. At the midnight, people performs worship to of their ancestors, forget about the troubles of the past year, and hope good things will come in the next year.
During the Tet, people visits temples, their relatives, and their neighbours' and friends' homes. They held a first meeting in the new year to give their wishes to other people, and give lucky money to children and the elderly. So, people seems to be happier and nicer than during other times of the year. Besides, they always smile cheerfully because they believed that if you have fun early in the year, the good things will happen to you.
