Cumbia Festival I want to do this entry because I want to share with you one little part to our culture. Two weeks ago It was the second Festival to "Medellín vive la Música". This year was a Cumbia Festival. Cumbia is one of most traditional rhythms to Colombia. It's a happy, beautiful and I dare to say it, a colorful rhythm. Surrounded Cumbia we find Magic, dancing, peace, smiles, tradition, community, root. "Pitos between Gaitas (male and female = macho and hembra) and Caña de Millo, maracas, drums, voices" do Cumbia a mixture to Indigenous, African and I less white Culture. The sounds to Cumbia tell us about stories from Caribbean Colombiano and our diversity, our jungles and remember us the sounds to birds, monkeys, insects. I liked so much this Festival, It had differents groups, ones tradicional and others news like the "psychedelic cumbia" (like Bomba Estéreo).
