Japanese climate

The Japan Archipelago streaching from North to South, consits of 4 major islands. The climate are different according to regions. There are mountain ranges in Honshu, a main land, and deviding the country into the East and West coasts that brings about 2 distinct climatic patterns between the coasts.

Usually in winter, they have much snow in Japan Sea coast. Moist air from China continent travels over the Sea of Japan, and causes heavy snow around the mountain ranges in the center. The Pacific Ocean side, on the contrast, is milder climate. It is dry and sunny during the winter.
