Tin soldiers I remember when I was a child we boys often broke down old car batteries ( lead–acid battery) from trucks and toke out lead (plumbum) plates from them. Then we melted them and poured molten lead into a form. Usually we made fishing sinkers but sometimes we made tin soldiers. It was interesting.

Hello,

Interesting little tale. Did you have a mould for the soldiers and wasn't it dangerous?

Just one spelling mistake and a missing article.

Good work
