Answer Written language has shaped our lifestyles in several ways and books are an important part of our lives. From Guttenberg to the Internet the concept of book has dramatically changed. Some people claim that the era of printed book is finished due to electronic books have optimized the used of space, while others state that printed book are relevant yet. This has been a highly debated topic during the last years and it is worth analyzing both points of view. Since Guttenberg’s machine was introduced, books revolutionized the world and the majority of people of the world can access to them. However, books keep on evolving and we have been able to optimize their use. For example, with the creation of PDF files it was found that several books could be storaged using little space and saving vital resources, such as water and paper. This advance cleverly optimized the space used by printed books, besides saved millions of trees. Therefore, modern societies should embrace this new technology and let old books just gracefully disappear. Currently we live in a fast pace society where everything has to be practical to catch up with this chaotic rhythm and books are not the exception. For instance, many devices have been designed to be able to storage many books at the same time and individuals are able to read many books whenever they want without damaging them. Printed books cannot efficiently meet this needs due to their nature. Consequently, printed books are fated to disappear. In short, when it comes to optimizing storage space and saving resources electronical books are a wiser decision. It seems that the role of printed book is slowly vanishing. It is expected that society and individuals continue to use new technologies which improve our lifestyles.

Some people claim that the era of printed book is finished due to electronic books have having optimized the used of space, while others state that printed book are still relevant yet. This has been a highly debated topic during the last years and it is worth analyzing both points of view.

Since Gutenberg’s machine was introduced, books revolutionized the world and the majority of people of the world can access to them. However, books keep on evolving and we have been able to optimize their use. For example, with the creation of PDF files it was found that several books could be storaged using little space and saving vital resources, such as water and paper.
