Big city or Small town After graduating from college, most graduates are faced with a choice—where to work and live, in big cities or small towns? Some prefer staying in big cities. In their eyes, although job competitions are fiercer, the salary is also more decent, for there are floods of grand companies. Besides, living in big cities is more convenient for them: there are more trustworthy hospitals, different kinds of restaurants, and better schools compared with living in small towns. Nevertheless, others make a different choice--they start their career in small towns, from their point of view, the advantages of living in small towns overweigh the disadvantages: with less air pollution, less traffic jams, and less living stress, they can live more contently and have more time to company their families and friends. What’s more, the goods are cheaper, therefore, to some degree, the purchasing power is the same with that in big cities though they may earn less. As far as I am concerned, living in big cities is my preference. I am willing to put myself into a more challenged environment, where I can grow faster with fiercer competition. In my eyes, stress sometimes means more power, because I am forced to learn new things and improve myself constantly with pressure to survive. And I think in the future, my children will get a better education living in big cities.
