Visiting a very packed street With the proximity of Christmas we can see people hang lights, shops display their goods, brands make advertisement and occasionally a Santa Claus walk in the street. The whole atmosphere changes and a frenzy seems to reign. There is a place in the city of São Paulo, where you can feel it in a very intense way. It is the most popular shopping street of Brazil, "Rua 25 de Março" (March 25th Street). There you can find a huge variety of goods and lower prices. Some of the stores are wholesale shops and it attracts buyers from all parts of the country. My intent was to buy some trinkets, but so packed street and shops with corridors crowded of energetic purchasers made me to give up of any consumerist Christmas spirit and go back home without any gift.

Visiting a very packed street

With the proximity of Christmas we can see people hang lights, shops display their goods, brands make advertisements and occasionally a Santa Claus walk in the street. The whole atmosphere changes and a frenzy seems to reign.

There is a place in the city of São Paulo, where you can feel it in a very intense way. It is the most popular shopping street of Brazil, "Rua 25 de Março" (March 25th Street). There you can find a huge variety of goods and lower (or: "the lowest") prices. Some of the stores are wholesale shops and it attracts* (or: "and the street attracts") buyers from all parts of the country.

My intent was to buy some trinkets, but so the packed street and shops' corridors crowded of with energetic purchasers shoppers made me to give up of any consumerist Christmas spirit and go back home without any gift.
