My first write posting here!

Hi. I am learning English with my self on my own and I need your help of yours. For me it is very hard understand the word "It", maybe can help me please! Thanks!

I'll try to help. It is sort of like "lo" in Spanish.  Only use it for objects or ideas or actions, not for people. In English, most sentences need a subject. Here are some examples:

* The house is very big.  It is near the beach.  (It = the house)

* My friend has an umbrella. It is yellow.  (It = the umbrella)

* I walk to the store every day. It takes 10 minutes. (It = the walking.)

Sure! "It" refers to something that is an object that is not referred bu name. If I have a pencil, and it is on the table, I would say, "Can you pick 'it' up?" WE know it is a pencil but we refer to it as "it".
