The best strategy for learning a foreign language (in my opinion).

The best thing you can do to learn a new language is to fall in love with it. I'd hated English for many, many years before I finally found an English teacher who totally changed my attitude towards learning.

His name was Dan and he was from Canada. I remember the first time I came to his class. I was very nervous and anxious and could barely understand a word he said. However, he made his classes so fun and engaging that it didn't matter what my abilities were. I enjoyed every single class with him. I wanted to come again and learn as much English as I could.

My point is, to learn anything in life that takes time, you've got to love it. Whenever I see a student that is bored during an English class, it pains me to watch, because I felt exactly the same way a couple of years ago.

I want people to at least feel <em>something</em>. I don't want them to be bored. I've had plenty of English teachers that take this job just because they need the money, but their classes are so dull and boring that they could kill your love of learning languages forever.

That's the main reason I use vulgar language in my entries. I want to make them fun in that way, at least. When people see words like pussy, dick, fuck, motherfucker, or bitch they might get angry or offended, but that's much more preferable to indifference or boredom!
