1. 对不起（Sorry! like apologising for something） vs 不好意思/抱歉 (excuse me)
2. About your last sentence, I changed 但(but) into 因为(because), not because it was wrong, but it was inappropriate here if you look closer to the meaning of your sentence. If you use But here, this sentence doesn't make much sense logically.
