Pidgins and Creols Pidgins and Creols are somehow a birth of a new language when two or more languages interact for the need of communication. A Pidgin is when the first generation that constitutes of tow or more different groups that tries to communicate by mixing thier languages in a sense that they will get to understand each other. For example, years in Africa the masters tried to communicate with the slaves by using their language mixed with some vocabulary and terms from the slaves's language, it is like the position of a lingua franca. The next generation spoke only this mixed language and we call it a Creol because this language has native speakers and a culture. Therefore, a pidgin has no native speaker and when it does it becomes a Creol.

Fascinating! If we have one slave we might say 'the slave's language' but if we have many slaves we would say the 'slaves' language'
