first of all - I can understand to this, but here in Slovakia we use accented letters. So, word "Dakujem" is "Ďakujem"

you can write this accent on slovak keyboard layout with Shift+key left from backspace (on most keyboards) and then the letter.

and long letters (like áéíóú) you can type with slovak layout with numbers (8=á, 9=í, 0=é) or with key left from backspace and then letter (like in first case, but without shift).
