我和他們一起坐出租汽車計程車到半島酒店(去)。到那裡以後﹐我們先去吃飯﹐然後回房間一起喝咖啡﹐談話。
和老同學一起﹐真是讓人高興。


Meeting friends at the airport

Yesterday night, Wang Li called me from New York. He called me at 7 o’clock, but I reached home at 8:30. Wang Li asked my mother to tell me he would arrive this afternoon at 4:45 in Hong Kong and I should come to take him at the airport.
My car has broke down, I took the bus to go to the airport. When I arrived there, it was already 5 o’clock, but the plane wasn’t there yet. There were a lot of people in the airport waiting for the plane.
Wang Li is an old classmate of mine. We went to university together, graduated together. After graduation, he went to the USA for additional studies. Then he worked for a car company in New York. He got married in January this year, his wife is Japanese.
It took Wang Li 5 hours and a quarter to reached Hong Kong by plane. Seeing my long-time friend, we both were very happy. He came with an American. Wang Li introduced him, and that person was his CEO. I invited them to my house for dinner, but Wang Li said they already booked a room at the Peninsula Hotel.
We all took a taxi to go to the Peninsula Hotel. After getting there, we first ate, then went back to the room to drink coffee and have a chat.
With my long-time friend, I felt really happy.
