今日は投票日でした。
私は投票しました。！
でも、当選者は私の嫌いな人でした。。　（T_T)
とにかく私が選んだ人は次点でした。

On a completely seperate note, I am trying to find a way to say this in Japanese--->

"Those flowers (in the picture) look quite similar to the ones in my profile's background picture!"

"当選者は" or "当選した人は" both are better I think.
落 means 落選.

その写真(or 絵) の花は、私のプロフィールの背景にある写真(or 絵)と似ている。
その花の写真は、私のプロフィールの背景写真とそっくりだ。
