latin american spanish VS european spanish

I believe that in latin america they don't use vosotros form for verb conjugations while in Spain they do. I may be wrong though.

Yes, we have differences in tenses, verb declension and aspect.
If you want I can help you mastering these because Latin Spanish is harder that European one because of the aspect-tense mixture.

The main differences I have found thus far are..

• Differences in vocabulary: e.g., coche in Spain and auto / carro in the Americas
• Differences in pronunciation: e.g., ci and ce take a thi and the sound in most parts of Spain, but si and se sound in the Americas
• Differences in pronouns: Spain uses vosotros, the Americas typically do not. Some parts of the Americas use vos (notably Argentina), Spain does not.

There seems to be some diffences in which past tenses are commonly used as well.. but I'm not quite to that point yet.

Well, here in Argentina is used "vos" not "tu" or "vosotros"
if you want a more formal way is "usted".

Because of regionalisms, I think it's not just Spain vs Latin America, every country here in Latin America has its own variations, for example the Argentina "vos" vs the México "tú", and all of the differences between the meaning of the same word like when we say "te vuelas" in Mexico, we mean like you're happy for something and acting hyper because of it, but in chile they would think you're telling them they're on drugs D: xD
